The Service
Electrolysis.
Permanent hair removal, one follicle at a time, right here in Utica. It works on every hair color and skin tone, including the blonde, gray and fine hair laser can't treat.
How It Works
One follicle at a time, for good.
A very fine probe slips into the follicle alongside the hair, without breaking the skin. A tiny current travels down to the root and disables the cells that grow the hair, and the hair slides out. A properly treated follicle doesn't grow hair again. That's why electrolysis is the only method the FDA allows to be called permanent hair removal.
Most people feel a quick warmth or a small pinch with each follicle. A session runs from fifteen minutes to an hour, depending on the area and how much hair there is.
Hair grows in cycles, and each follicle is easiest to treat while it's growing, so it takes a series of visits to reach them all. Visits are usually every week or two, and a full course can take up to a year and a half. A few follicles need a second treatment, but once a follicle is done, it's done.
For the first day afterwards, go easy on the treated skin: no workout that makes you sweat, no tanning or long hours in the sun, and no makeup on the area.

Who We Treat
Everyone is welcome here.
Because electrolysis treats each hair directly, hair color and skin tone don't matter. Blonde, gray, white and red hair, the hair laser can't treat, can all be removed here, on every skin tone.
We're LGBTQ+ friendly and gender-affirming, with a specialized focus on welcoming transgender and transitioning clients, and you're welcome here at any stage. Electrolysis is often part of gender-affirming care, especially for facial hair.
